What You Will Do:
- Develop, design, and implement privacy, compliance and data governance frameworks globally
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders to drive, track, and resolve compliance readiness and procedures
- Perform risk and threat assessments in accordance with industry recognized standards Soc 2 type 2 privacy principles.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert on data protection legislation such as GDPR, PIPEDA, Law 25, etc.
- Participating in the vendor management process and perform analysis of current vendors by using tools such as questionnaires to ensure compliance
- Lead incident management protocols related to cyber-security
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Information, Privacy, and data security policies, standards, and guidelines
- Interface with internal and external parties to facilitate audits
- Manage privacy cases (inquiries by different stakeholders, customers and vendors, complaints and incidents) and make use of mitigating measures
- Respond in a timely and prompt manner when made aware of privacy breaches
- Implement and maintain compliance processes and tools on a regular basis
- Develop internal training programs including creating and facilitating privacy and data management best practices and guidelines
Who You Are:
- IAPP Certification(s) such as CIPP, CDPSE, CIPM s or other related certifications
- Excellent expert knowledge and understanding of workplace privacy principles, frameworks and legislations on privacy such as, Fair Information Principles, PIPEDA and CASL
- Experience working with privacy and developing data frameworks preferable in the retail or beauty sector an asset
- Experience with Vendor, Incident, and Risk management processes
- Experience with building Privacy and data management programs
- Experience with audit compliance activities
- Knowledge of international legislation related to data and privacy responsibilities an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage workload in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders and departments in order to achieve goals
- Passionate about eliminating food waste and helping people
