We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join our busy Circular Economy and Waste Advisory team focusing on Circular Economy and Zero Waste Strategy development, Business Case and Project Feasibility, Service and Contract Reviews, Waste to Energy, Environmental Infrastructure, Infrastructure Sustainability, and Renewable Energy working across both the public and private sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead small and medium projects focusing on Circular Economy and Waste Advisory initiatives.
  • Support the technical lead on large and complex projects and proposals.
  • Undertake research on relevant legislation, emerging and existing technologies.
  • Collect data to inform decision making and strategies.
  • Complete reports for all stages of the project – from conception to completion.
  • Lead and assist with proposal presentations for prospective clients and/or projects.
  • Attend meetings with clients to manage projects according to Ricardo’s scope of services.
  • Provide input into business development strategies and initiatives to further grow the Ricardo business.

Key competencies and experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelors or Masters) in Environmental Management, Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Science or similar.
  • 0-6 years’ experience in consulting, or experience across Circular Economy, Waste Advisory and Strategy or similar sector.
  • Interest in Circular Economy, Waste Management Strategies and Sustainability.
  • Proven track record of contributing high quality work.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects to completion, within budget and to a high standard.
  • Ability to think outside the box to provide innovative solutions.
  • Current driver’s licence.
