JOB OVERVIEW

The Senior Community Manager will be responsible for developing and launching a national workforce council of key stakeholders that represent corporations, companies, and/or enterprises committed to helping us achieve our mission. This will include overseeing the overall strategy and the recruiting, training, and engaging of members.

This individual will understand Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals and trends with the ability to translate education outcomes to workforce skills for mid- and senior-level leaders of national corporations.

The Senior Community Manager will report to the Deputy Director of Community and Partnerships as a part of the Community and Partnerships (CAP) Department, which is responsible for overseeing the network of individual and organizational supporters.

We expect this individual to adhere to the Alliance’s hybrid work schedule, working both remotely and from our office in Bala Cynwyd, PA. We will consider full-time remote employees who are not local to our office with the expectation that they will travel into the office occasionally. Work hours are 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM EST.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize a council of mid- and senior-level corporate leaders and other key stakeholders, which includes creating and overseeing all strategic initiatives, campaigns, and goals for the community.
  • Analyze current initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and evaluate all potential members of a community or council.
  • Recruit and onboard all new members.
  • Manage all communications with potential and current members.
  • Prepare for and host all community meetings and events.
  • Manage metrics and establish systems associated with the community.
  • Utilize our internal CRM to store and track members and relationships.
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding leads on potential members or relationships.
  • Possibly manage and support more than one community.
  • These duties may change or expand over time consistent with our organization’s initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience and Skills
    • 5+ years of experience in community building, community engagement, relationship management, or similar positions.
    • 3+ years of experience in program and/or project management.
    • Experience working within corporate social responsibility.
    • Experience engaging c-suite corporate leaders in support of CSR initiatives.
    • Experience working in partnership with corporations, companies, or enterprises.
    • Experience using a Contact Relationship Management (CRM) system.
    • Experience or interest in Decision Science, Behavioral Economics, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or similar is preferred, but not required.
    • Experience or interest in education/non-profit is preferred, but not required.
