Job description

The role of the Senior Climate Change Consultant is to ensure the delivery of high-quality consultancy advice to international clients on sustainability-related topics in different sectors. You will be fully responsible for the development and management of climate action proposals and for the implementation of projects. You will provide technical guidance to the project teams and act as the main point of contact for the client. In addition, you will contribute to the development of new climate services and represent Strive during international conferences.

Technical Skills:

• University degree, ideally at a master’s level, in a sustainability-related field with a component of climate change.
• At least 4 years of experience working in a consulting company.
• Climate change knowledge (mitigation, adaptation, reduction strategy, science-based targets).
• Proven experience in footprint calculation methods for Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and analysis including materiality assessment, interviews, workshops, and benchmarking.
• Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks and indices such as Net Zero Initiative, and ISO is a plus.

Non-Technical:

• Excellent organizational skills, with the capacity to manage different projects at the same time.
• Excellent communication skills: the ability to speak and present information in front of a client, manage client meetings and workshops, and represent Strive in public events.
• Good writing skills, with an ability to produce well-structured documents and reports.
• Strong motivation, curiosity, and ability to undertake and work in a team.
• Demonstrable commercial skills and good business sense to be able to identify and seize opportunities in a challenging and competitive market environment.
• Flexibility, curiosity, and open-mindedness to work on innovative topics with a variety of stakeholders.
• High level of English and additional language is a plus.
