Transport makes up over 60% of oil demand globally and is responsible for a fifth of CO2 emissions. We need to urgently transition away from this carbon intensive mobility system towards one that is clean/green, safe, accessible, affordable, resilient and effective - because after all - everyone needs to move.
Are you interested in tackling the climate crisis by developing new and innovative campaigns on transport and mobility? Greenpeace International is looking for a Senior Campaign Strategist to support our global transport and mobility work, which aims to change the way we move.
Reporting to the Deputy Global Campaign Lead for Urban Justice, you will actively contribute to advancing Greenpeace's transport and mobility goals. You will help develop and deliver impactful projects and steer and support campaign teams across GPI and NROs.
In addition, you will take the lead in creating opportunities for skill and information sharing between campaign projects, our campaigners and external stakeholders, ensuring the global community thrives, shares best practices and has space to innovate.

What we’re looking for:
Substantial demonstrable experience as a campaigner, with a track record of developing, implementing and evaluating successful projects about environmental and/or social issues.
Professional experience in fields related to transport & mobility such as on the phase out of the Internal Combustion Engine (cars, aviation), public transport, urban mobility & planning, social issues related to transport such as just transition etc
Effective oral and written communicator, with strong influencing, negotiating, presentation and facilitation skills
Team player with excellent relationship buildings skills
Work proficiency in written and spoken English
Experience of campaigning in the global south is a plus
Flexible, proactive and organised, with an energetic approach to problem solving
Experience in identifying and coordinating research, investigation and science needs
Experience working in multicultural environments with senior staff and teams, across borders and timezones
Aligned with Greenpeace’s values and mission to protect people and planet
Willingness to travel
Additional skills and experiences required:

Being able to work in a second language is a plus
Experience in building and/or managing external partnerships and networks of collaboration with relevant stakeholders especially those with links to mobility and social movements and/or urban collectives
Experience in building, nurturing, inspiring and managing vivid and solid communities of practice, to facilitate learning and exchange
Experience in collecting, analyzing and sharing research, materials, case studies and best practice examples for informing campaign strategy
Experience in the development and implementation of MEL (monitoring, evaluation and learning) tools and frameworks
Understanding of national and regional media and social media landscapes including in a Global South geographies
Experience in analyzing or understanding the use of data to inform campaign strategies
