FTC / Full time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Circa £50,000 dependant on experience

Team Overview
Itad’s Business Development team is a cross-cutting unit that takes a lead on the identification and capture of opportunities, the development and implementation of business development best practice and the support of Itad
practices in the development and submission of technical and financial bids to our clients.
The Role
Itad’s Senior Bid Manager plays a key role in managing significant proposals, and the successful delivery of our BD objectives.
Working closely with the Head of Business Development, this role supports our growth through managing the process of identifying business opportunities, building external relationships and developing proposals. This position plays a fundamental role in supporting the organisation to deliver our business development strategies and business plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the preparation and submission of key proposals, and taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process;
Overseeing capture planning and early pre-positioning for upcoming opportunities, and ensure well-informed bid/no-bid decisions are being made;
Contributing to technical proposals - both in terms of content and presentation
Ensuring that the winning strategy and win themes are articulated effectively throughout bid responses
Managing the process of identifying bidding opportunities;
Supporting the development and utilisation of Itad’s BD systems;
Ensuring Itad quality standards are met;
Marketing Itad to external partners and associates.
We are looking for someone who has:
Proposal/Bid Management
Proven experience coordinating the preparation of key proposals
An understanding of the international development landscape, and preferably have experience of developing business opportunities for clients such as multilaterals, UN agencies and foundations.
Strong understanding of commercial aspects of bidding, including risk management
Exceptional writing, proofreading and editing skills, with the ability to adapt style to different audiences and channels
Confident in negotiating, with a commercial acumen
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a varying workload
Demonstrated experience in ensuring that quality standards and processes are applied
Networking and Relationship Management
Comfortable communicating information to help key stakeholders develop their understanding and learning
Confident in building new and existing relationships with external consultants, associates and partners
Experienced in working with a wide range of backgrounds and cultures
