MEDA is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Evaluation team under the supervision of the Vice President of Evaluation. This team member will be responsible for two core domains of our team’s work, program evaluation and organizational planning. This role will also include the supervision of junior team members to support the following efforts.

- Professional background
- Minimum of two years of work experience in program evaluation, community-based research, organizational consulting, or other data-driven fields
- Prior professional experience in programs, initiatives, projects, etc. that support the wellbeing of low-income and marginalized communities, especially those involving the input/participation of community members
- Graduate degree in social sciences, public administration, ethnic studies, or other related field preferred. We also welcome candidates with a bachelor's degree and 4+ years commensurate work experience.
- Skillsets
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Knowledge of data privacy guidelines with a strong commitment to data integrity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in meeting facilitation around collective decision-making, both in remote and in-person environments
- Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and/or Google Suite platforms, with technical proficiency in building spreadsheet formulas and data visualizations
- Ability to navigate large population-level datasets such as the American Community Survey (ACS) or California Health Interview Survey (CHIS)
- Fluency in Spanish is desired but not required
Preferred, but not required:
- Prior experience in providing adult instruction and/or technical assistance
- Knowledge of Results-Based Accountability (RBA) practices
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM platforms
- Knowledge of Tableau data visualization software, GIS, or advanced statistical software (SPSS, R, STATA, etc.)
