WWF-HK is looking for a Senior Accounting Officer to assist Head of Finance to do monthly financial reporting , income reconciliation, balance sheet breakdown, external audit schedule, payment requests, yearly budget update to Accounting system and ad-hoc tasks.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate the data for management reporting purpose, like monthly financial summary, dashboard, yearly budget, WWF Network Performance overview, etc.;
- Perform month end closing in an accurate and timely manner, perform reconciliation and assist the preparation of management reporting, annual audited report and conservation project audit;
- Do reconciliation on inventory records, produce and reconcile monthly stock statements and assist in performing management analysis;
- Process cash and cheque payments, prepare payment vouchers, ensure all payments have appropriate supporting documents, and maintain/update the Flex accounting system;
- Record and reconcile fixed asset movements and ensure reporting (including schedules) are properly and timely prepared and classified;
- Manage the bank related matters, such as banking facilities, time deposits, arrangement for the opening of new accounts, management of authorized signers etc.; Provide suggestions on better cash management;
- Review balance sheet items like receipt in advance, creditors, stock payable and prepayment etc on monthly basis;
- Prepare deferred income for restricted project breakdown on monthly basis;
- Prepare whole set of financial for small hosting companies independently;
- Work with supervisor to refine the format of the current financial / management reports;
- Perform asset count for yearly physical inspection for audit purpose;
- Assist in maintaining internal control, timely reporting on any exceptions and suggesting changes in procedures for improvement;
- Carry out any other duties that are assigned.
Required Functional Skills:
- Degree in Accounting or related disciplines or equivalent professional qualification with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with knowledge of Flex System is preferred
Required Behavioural Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, self-motivated and proactive
- Good interpersonal skills, work well under pressure and tight deadlines
