The Role:

The Senior Accountant, will temporarily report directly to the Director of Finance, but in the long term will be reporting into that leader (Controller). This role will serve as the primary liaison between the Finance & Strategic Operations department and Capital Projects teams. The position will provide routine reporting, analysis and other business support as needed. This position is located in the SF/Bay Area and requires candidates to live in commutable distance to our facilities. Relocation assistance is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide business support to Project Managers, developing budgets, project forecasting, and timely financial reports
• Reviewing budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures
• Preparing pre-billing reports for project managers to review
• Monitoring payables and supporting project managers with invoice collection and payment
• Issuing invoices and purchase orders, as well as paying consultant, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier bills
• Maintain a/the repository of critical business documents (i.e., contracts, blueprints, diagrams, etc.) according to the Company and Capital Team’s requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in accounting or finance required
• 6+ years relevant accounting / project experience
• Strong understanding of the U.S. GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in electronic accounting systems / ERP (ie, NetSuite, SAP, etc.)

Preferred:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
• A mixture of public accounting (big 4 audit is a big plus) and industry experience is highly desirable

Skills & Qualities:

• Excellent communication skills towards effective collaboration and client support
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced, hyper growth environment.
• Extensive experience in project invoicing and billing
