Position Description
We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our small team in Philadelphia as the Semester and Summer Term Admissions Associate. This multifaceted position requires significant travel, skills in digital, written and oral communications, demonstrated administrative skills, event coordination, and strong organizational skills. The Semester and Summer Term Admissions Associate will serve as the primary contact for all applicants and their families, aid in the recruitment and application process of prospective Island School students, and support program-related marketing efforts. This position will report to the Director of Semester and Summer Term Admissions, while working collaboratively with peers at the Cape Eleuthera Foundation and The Island School. Start date for this position is August 1, 2022 or potentially earlier.
Responsibilities*

Admissions
- Work with Director of Semester and Summer Term Admissions to plan and execute admission events, including in-person and virtual nationwide receptions and school visits
- Travel nationwide to execute the majority of Admissions-related events during recruiting season running from October-January
- Alongside Alumni Relations Manager, strategize ways to incorporate program alumni as ambassadors of The Island School programs
- Represent The Island School with on-stage or on-screen, small groups, and one-on-one interactions
- Strong presence in various aspects of the admissions process including management of working applications and support through completion, reading applications, and participation in the selection committee
- Manage enrolled student paperwork received through email, airSlate, and postal mail
- Oversee and support enrolled students and their families through the completion of enrollment paperwork
Communications
- Works strategically to integrate our CRM systems and platforms (Salesforce, Mailchimp, and social media accounts) for efficient and combined use to execute marketing, fundraising, and recruiting efforts
- Supports program-related marketing efforts in coordination with the on-island Communications Team
- Oversees all materials and messaging for admissions-related communications
Contribute to the production of internal publications, alumni newsletters, college matriculation, and organizational updates
Event Coordination
- Admissions events support as outlined above
- General support, if necessary, for on-island and stateside events throughout the year (Family Weekend, Conferences, Board Meetings, Reunions, other Island School programming, etc.
Database Management and Office Administration
- Additional admissions administrative support outlined above
- Significant database support through inputting and updating information and maintaining database reports of all program alumni and admission processes. This is done in coordination with the Advancement Assistant.
- Respond to email and phone inquiries from interested and current partnership programs, schools, and students and families
Skills and Qualifications
- A university degree and/or an equivalent combination of education
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to engage with age groups ranging from high school students and up
- Comfortable with public speaking in front of age groups ranging from high school students and up
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to accommodate delegated tasks
- Values and successfully navigates both independent projects and group collaborations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, MailChimp
- Experience with Salesforce and airSlate is preferred
