**
Major Function**
The Seascapes Director for the Western Pacific (Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia) is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and monitoring of the Western Pacific nature-positive seascape strategy. They will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to build out, manage, and implement a robust, integrated seascape approach with priority offices within the WWF network and will serve as a liaison and point of contact on issues related to science, protected area, fisheries, species and other marine conservation priorities in the Western Pacific seascape for the other WWF-US Goal and Influence teams. They will be responsible for supporting fundraising efforts, including focus on providing technical and programmatic support for both Public Funding and Blended Finance Pipelines.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience. An advanced degree is required.
Experience with major-donor projects and partnerships is important.
Experience managing staff, contractors, and relationships with clients and/or funders or leading/managing multiple projects/ programs and teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including knowing when to use courtesy, tact, and/or diplomacy to effectively communicate with all constituents, as well as experience working in international developing country contexts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective public speaking and the ability to communicate complex issues verbally and in writing.
Ability to effectively prioritize and produce high-quality work under time constraints.
Excellent organizational and project leadership skills.
Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a matrixed team environment.
Ability to operate with independence and under pressure to meet deadlines and commitments.
Willingness to travel up to 20%
Flexible working hours to take calls with Western Pacific time zones
Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
