šļøAbout the role
GVI is looking for a Science Coordinator who will support the Program Manager and field team at GVIās research station in the Peruvian Amazon, which is focused on terrestrial conservation. This individual should be enthusiastic about wildlife in general, experienced in field research, and able to lead surveys and assist in the day-to-day running of the conservation programs.
You will facilitate the undertaking of all hub activities, including surveys, health and safety, as well as volunteer management. You will be working very closely with the Program Manager managing the hub and will also be responsible for our internship program. You will be monitoring the progress of all interns and will be providing support as a mentor. The candidate should be a flexible thinker and able to think on their feet and adapt according to the situation. A science background (minimum Masters) is a must, whether that's in degree form or extensive field experience.
