About FFC

We are on a mission to remove as much excess CO2 from the atmosphere as we can. We create and restore carbon rich habitats and protect biodiversity in order to avoid the most disastrous effects of global warming and the climate crisis. We are an impact for profit organisation, achieving our mission through the use of nature based carbon solutions, planting profitable forests, restoring peatland and developing biodiversity projects. Our goal is to scale our operations, plant millions of trees, restore thousands of hectares of habitat and grow a climate solution which removes significant amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere.

About the role

You will be tasked with building and expanding our sales pipeline and partnerships network for carbon credits and tree and biodiversity sponsorships with UK and international businesses and managing them through the sales cycle.  From understanding their existing approach to sustainability, through to integrating a portfolio of carbon products, biodiversity and habitat restoration into their ESG and net-zero strategies.

You will report in to the Senior Partnerships Manager and play an integral role in supporting the company’s goal to restore key carbon rich habitats, address the biodiversity crisis and combat climate change.

The role will include:

  • Attraction, management and growth of new customer accounts.
  • Finding and identifying new growth opportunities and new avenues for carbon offsetting sales and land restoration corporate sponsorship opportunities.
  • Carrying out online customer engagement calls (Zoom / Google Meet) and in-person meetings when appropriate.
  • Working in partnership with the Marketing / Social Media Team to promote new partnerships.
  • Working closely with the Products Team to ensure careful inventory management.
  • Administrative responsibilities include: updating our carbon registry, raising invoices, using CRM (e.g. Pipedrive) to manage sales opportunities and inventory management.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is highly commercially driven, passionate about delivering great service and developing a high-value pipeline of partnership opportunities, with the desire to fight climate change and tackle the biodiversity crisis.

You must have:

  • Demonstrable ability to work through the entire sales management process.
  • Proven experience of bringing in new business through multiple sales channels.
  • At least 5-7 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in identifying and initiating contact with prospective customers.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Previous basic project management experience.
  • Ability to maintain an expert level of comprehensive knowledge about latest products and services.
  • A committed approach to working as part of a remote team.
  • Ability to work to and deliver targets in rapidly evolving business.
