FuelPositive is hiring a
We are building our Sales team, and we are looking for a results-driven, qualified Sales Development Specialist who will play a key role in establishing strong customer relationships and generate interest and demand for the FuelPositive onsite, containerized green ammonia production systems. As we are a growing organization, this position will initially report to the COO, and it may shift in the near future.
Who we are:
FuelPositive is a Canadian-based, clean technology company, working to fight climate change by creating and developing practical, clean, and sustainable carbon-free solutions that can be implemented economically now. Above all, we believe in being kind – to the earth, to each other, and to ourselves. We believe that being kind will pay dividends for us all. It’s all about Fuel for a Mindful World.
What WE make:
Our lead product, an onsite, containerized Green Ammonia production system that is modular and scalable, will revolutionize clean energy through a patent-pending, first-of-its-kind technology invented in Canada. The system takes air, water and a sustainable electricity source to produce green anhydrous ammonia with no carbon emissions. Adoption will dramatically support global targets to reduce CO2 emissions. And our decentralized, in situ approach will bring supply chain independence to our first customers – farmers – for the first time.
If you want to make a Positive impact, be relevant and make a change, join our team, and become a part of the solution!
What YOU will do:
Working closely with our Senior Leadership Team, the Sales Development Specialist will champion our Sales initiatives. Your main priority will be new business development by examining market opportunities and potential customer needs and offering solutions to potential customers, in our case farmers. Your focus will be on selling our Green Ammonia production system to very large row crop farmers. A consultative sales process will integrate renewable energy production, and ammonia storage, with our Green Ammonia production system to provide a fertilizer solution. Your previous experience will enable you to perform various sales-related tasks, including cost-benefit analyses, forecasting and reporting on customer interests, potential new products and services. You will also formalize our sales proposals and contracts. As an expert in the Sales field, you will assist with our corporate marketing strategies and expand our portfolio to include new vertical markets. You will keep an eye and monitor competitors’ sales activities so we can ensure our sales game remains at the top level. You will routinely connect with customers by calling, emailing and video conferencing, but this comes as second nature for you. You will also be responsible for identifying, developing and qualifying prospective customers. The role may also engage with local, regional or National finance companies to support customers in securing credit. In order to succeed in this role, you will have the ability to work independently, take initiative and have flexibility to meet the needs of seasonal demands; while keeping yourself organized and others informed. You will champion the implementation of Dynamics (CRM) and establish basic dashboard creation. You will have a thorough understanding of common agricultural practices as they pertain to fertilizer and will take part in training programs related to Anhydrous Ammonia in agriculture. Did we mention you will participate in tradeshows, conferences, and training events? You will have the opportunity to improve our tradeshow experience as well. Are you up for the challenge? You are an experienced Sales professional with an agricultural background. You understand farming and agronomic trends associated with agriculture. You feel comfortable being on farms as majority of your travel will be “field visits” to farms. You will draw from your years of sales experience to grow our market, sales, and revenue. You have experience selling complex, commercial systems. As part of your education, you have a degree or diploma in agriculture, business, marketing, or a related field. You have working knowledge and experience using Dynamics, Salesforce, or other CRMs. You have created and implemented sales budgets in your previous roles and have an extensive knowledge of MS Office. You have experience in creating sales proposals, and sales contracts. You are accustomed to travel within Canada and occasionally to the U.S. and other countries. You are a self-starter, able to problem solve as things come up, and you know when to escalate the issue to find a proper resolution. You know when to reach out for additional support and you are nimble when priorities shift through the organization.
