Summary of Role:

MAMSA is looking to recruit a ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) Intern to work in their Cape Town office. To assist the ESG and SHEQ team with performing key functions involved in environmental and social governance, and to provide support and assistance in achieving the ESG framework for Mainstream.

What will you do:

• Assist in ESG audits and inspections (HSE and ISO)
• Environmental Compliance – ECO, Bird & Bat, Climate Change, Conservation Areas, Environmental Authorisations, Water Use Licences, General Authorisations, Buffer Zones and other Permits/Licences
• Assist in ESG monitoring and reporting
• Communicate and liaison with service providers
• Overseeing micro departmental projects in the ESG Team, including bilateral support
• Assist in Reporting and partake in Meetings

What we require:

Successfully completed a HSE, ESG or engineering qualification in one of the fields

• Degree or diploma in Environmental Management/Science, Safety Manager, Engineering or NQF equivalent
• Driver’s license
• HSE management understanding, monitoring, and auditing
• Data collection and report writing skills
