Replication Curriculum Specialist

Position Summary: Replication Specialist serves a “governing body” of the WOW expansion program outside of Chicago. Replication Specialist’s primary responsibility is to oversee WOW expansion via providing duties of a curriculum specialist within WOW expansion sites for WOW Counselors while also serving as a WOW consultant for those cites during their pilot phase. The “RS” is the main WOW “expert” who will travel on a regular cadence to this or these expansion sites during the first two years.

This includes working directly with supervisors, supporting school administrations, supporting Executive Director as needed. Additionally, the RCS will work as part of the National Expansion Team including: WOW Director of Program and Staff Development, National Expansion Network Manager, other RCS, Development, EQI, etc.

Responsible for providing ongoing support and consultation for WOW Counselors/Youth Specialist in designated expansion geography regarding curriculum implementation via curriculum refinement/tailoring, curriculum cohort training and on-site/off-site coaching to ensure program fidelity and WOW Counselor professional development.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leads WOW curriculum training to include the 4-step methodology
  • Manages, coaches, and provides ongoing feedback to Curriculum Specialists, may be required to maintain a caseload for the Chicago office as well
  • Provides on-going coaching, both on-site and off-site, via the 6-step Coaching Model and 6 areas of Conceptual Feedback
  • Supports, builds, and shares best practices with WOW Counselors to ensure positive student outcomes by providing guidance in the areas of professional responsibilities, prioritization, time, and resource allocation
  • Participates in ongoing staff development, as needed, to stay current with ongoing program area trends and/or to keep professional credentials updated
  • Assures the agency’s core values and key concepts are interwoven into program design and implementation, as allowed by program stakeholders
  • Supports, builds, and shares best practices in clinical interventions and systemic leadership for positive student outcomes.
  • Provide training in the WOW Curriculum (theories and philosophies); as well as during the Winter and Summer Training Institutes
  • Provides consultation to WOW expansion sites (supervisors, program managers, executive director, research & evaluation, development, etc.)
  • When not present within expansion city, RCS must continue weekly coaching services via video and/or phone sessions; utilizing all forms of technology (Zoom, video conferencing, Slack, etc.)
  • Participates as part of the national expansion team as requested.
  • Attends bi-weekly supervision sessions with WTA Manager
  • Provides potential “back up” temporary RCS duties for other RSC expansion sites as needed
  • Documents work completed in documentation system
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience/Training

  • Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, human services or counseling related to area from an accredited university program
  • Five years of work experience in education, human service, youth development, or social service field.
  • Two years of experience as a WOW Curriculum Specialist or one year experience as a WOW Transition Specialist
  • Experience in administration and program development is preferred. Work experience must demonstrate program competence and expertise
  • Three years working as WOW Counselor preferred

  • High level skill in usage of video technology such as Skype, Zoom, etc. to conduct coaching follow-up sessions when NOT present in expansion city.

Compensation:

$66,000 -$92,000
