reach52 is seeking a Regional Sales Manager that would support reach52’s mission to build access to healthcare for 52% of the world, who currently cannot access it. You will work to build and launch a sales team for a new portfolio of pharmaceutical products for non-communicable diseases (NCDs). You should have a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and extensive experience in pharma sales and sales management. You need experience in specialty care, across at least several key NCD categories, including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, neurology, or oncology.
What you’ll do
The core role scope and responsibilities of the role will be:
Recruit, manage and mentor a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), and Medical Representatives (MRs)
Ensure achievement of sales targets (volume, value, market share) across territories
Monitor and analyse performance metrics (prescription audits, secondary/primary sales).
Conduct regular field visits, joint calls, and territory reviews
Identify high-potential territories, therapy areas, or doctors to improve brand penetration.
Ensure alignment of field force activities with marketing campaigns and medical guidance
Implement brand strategies, visual aids, and promotional inputs across the zone
Track MR KPIs like doctor coverage, call average, and input utilisation
Ensure all field activities comply with
UCPMP (Uniform Code for Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices)
Coordinate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams for smooth field operations
Who you are (probably!)
We’re reasonably sure you should have a profile like this, but we can flex sometimes:
10+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience in manager role
Experience with NCDs and/or multiple disease categories is a must
Experience managing large sales teams across diverse regions
Experience in a loosely-structured, start-up-like setting and demonstrated ability to think quickly and independently
Ability to travel and meet customers where they are
High autonomy, entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to see the big picture and support achieving the details
