What we are looking for

CGA is seeking a self-driven and passionate Regenerative Market Garden Team member to assist across various teams within our Agroecology department. This is a general role with various responsibilities from bed prepping, weeding, pest managing and harvesting to farm maintenance including mowing and whipper snipper work.

This role supports our Market Garden, Food Production and Harvest teams with responsibilities including, (but not limited to); general maintenance, pest and weed management, bed prepping, cover cropping, seeding, pruning and harvesting. To be successful in this position you will have a minimum of 2 years experience in this field, working in a food forest, market garden or commercial garden environment with a basic level of regenerative farming knowledge. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and a desire to care for the environment, including animals and people.

You will have:

  • Current Drivers licence valid in NSW
  • At least two years of experience in permaculture with experience in growing, harvesting and processing produce
  • Broad foundation knowledge of regenerative agriculture including soils, nutrition, water management, weed control, pest and disease management
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of growing organic fruit and vegetables in subtropics

  • Opportunity to learn and grow with our organisation, working within our agroforestry system.
  • A full farm to table experience with the food we grow and raise by our Kitchen team including 1 organic catered meal per day.

Conscious Ground Organics is a certified organic farm dedicated to regenerating land and providing healthy, affordable produce for the community.

Starting from the seeds we plant and the soil they’re in, we’re nurturing the life back into our food. Each new plant and element within the system is carefully planned to complement the whole, seeds lovingly germinated and grown in our nursery, and seedlings blessed as they go into the ground. Our food is the expression of our whole mission - regenerating the land, our bodies and our connection to each other.
