Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief. The position is full-time and is responsible for developing a strategy to promote staff openings and career paths to volunteers, and work with hiring managers to identify and retain talent from within our volunteer pool.

Essential Functions
- Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
- Work closely with managers to build awareness of their departments and gain a comprehensive understanding of All Hands and Hearts hiring needs for every role
- Promote the organization’s reputation as a “best place to work”
- Work with program teams and volunteers to promote openings, and build a talent pool/roster of potential candidates for all roles;
- Work with hiring managers to review applicants and candidates who have applied via a resume submission option, or to identify where unsuccessful candidates may be better suited to other positions;
- Work with hiring managers to provide guidance and training on recruitment best practices, ensuring they act in line with existing HR policies on communicating with candidates in a timely and professional manner;
- Follow up with alumni who have selected “be made aware of job opportunities” on their departure survey to make them aware of active and upcoming vacancies, encouraging them to join the Alumni Network to receive our biweekly newsletter to stay informed
- Attend careers fairs in person and remotely.

- We have decided to relax the requirement for Covid-19 vaccination for on program staff. While we still strongly recommend Covid-19 vaccination, along with other standard and travel immunizations as recommended by the CDC and WHO, Covid-19 vacation will no longer be required.
Position Requirements
- Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Related Experience Previous experience with All Hands and Hearts is preferred
- Special Competencies/Certifications Good written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets; and Microsoft Office. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Typical starting salary is $36,000. Annual pay increases may be available, up to a salary maximum of $43,500 for U.S. based employees.
