Position Overview
Rare’s Executive Office is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and accountability of cross functional priorities across the organization. The intern will have an opportunity to engage in and support nonprofit management priorities, reporting to the VP, Chief of Staff and working with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CEO, and the President.
The Intern will play an important role in ensuring that the administration of the Executive Office runs smoothly and in supporting special projects related to topics such as Rare’s annual planning process, balanced scorecard system, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative, and board governance.
Core Responsibilities:
Targeted Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Recent graduate or in the process of pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field
Interest in nonprofit management and conservation/environmental issues / climate change
Strong writing and editing skills, with an intuitive ability to make small shifts to be appropriately tailored for different audience segments
Well organized, self-motivated, and able to manage deadlines independently / work remotely
Eager and quick to learn new systems and software
Strong attention to detail and ability to execute highly specific tasks
