Position Overview

Ambri, an energy startup commercializing innovative battery technology developed at MIT, is seeking a Quality Inspector. This individual will assist in the inspection and analysis of liquid metal battery cell components. This position reports to the Quality Manager of Technical Services and will work alongside the Quality Engineer as well as leading battery scientists and engineers**.**

Responsibilities**:**

• Performing incoming inspection of components made internally and from suppliers
• Reporting issues to the greater team as needed
• Operating our Visual Measurement Machine and Coordinate Measurement Machine
• Ability to work within databases to input essential information from daily tasks
• Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols

Requirements**:**

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years minimum quality inspector experience
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a fast-moving team
• Able to read engineering drawings
• Able to set up, maintain, and use varieties of inspection tools (caliper, micrometer, bore gages, and optical comparator, etc.)
• Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
• Familiarity with computers
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing start-up environment
