Project Scheduler

Job Summary:

The Scheduler has responsibilities to the Spoke Development team to build schedules and plans for all project activities for all Spoke Projects.    You will interface with development engineering teams, Project Managers, Project Controls, finance, HSEQ, regional Global Development leadership and operations leadership. This role will keep various management metrics updated, including but not limited to, project schedules, milestone tracking, vendor lead time and any know issues that impact project schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside Li-Cycle’s Development project team and suppliers, maintain a detailed project schedule for all new build activities and equipment, and all major equipment upgrades and changes.
  • Perform schedule control by determining critical path analysis, planned value, earned value, schedule variance and recommend corrective actions as required
  • Work with Li-Cycle’s Project Controls Team, and Project Managers to develop, maintain and report project schedule information, including changes to schedules, potential changes to critical path and variance on baseline schedule
  • Integrate the schedule and Earned Value Management (EVM) systems to provide the effective transfer of data from the schedule to the EVM system
  • Maintain trend and change system and organize schedule review and trend meetings
  • Run schedule scenarios for Project Managers and Spoke team leadership as required
  • Maintain overall manufacturing plan for our Spoke Fulfillment Center, and any other global fabrication partners
  • Other duties required to support Li-Cycle’s growth

Job Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years relevant experience in a plant build environment or equipment with detailed knowledge of Scheduling (Hands-on experience is a must), in MS Project or Primavera (or equivalent)
  • Post-secondary education in engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent related experience
  • Facilitation, negotiation skills and report writing skills
  • Strong team player
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to convey project technical information to project managers, engineers and leadership
  • Interested in innovation, sustainability, safety and quality
  • Ability to travel throughout Canada and USA, without restriction. Travel would be 5-10% of time.
  • Position is based in Toronto, but other locations will be considered for the right candidate.
