PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As the part-time Project Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, organising, implementing, coordinating and monitoring activities of ChildFund PNG’s protection project in one of the four target provinces in the Highlands Region and act as a link between stakeholders including service providers and ChildFund.
KEY DUTIES
- Develop plans on how to implement project activities in relevant target province in Highlands region.
- Conduct regular meetings with relevant partners and stakeholders including service providers delivering GBV and CP services to strengthen coordination and support project implementation.
- Ensure that project specific indicator data collection tools are available
- Ensure timely collection of data on project indicators and entered on data bases
- Analyse data and conduct periodic dissemination meetings to present project results;
- Monitor project deliverables in a timely manner, notify the Project Coordinator when issues arise and take corrective actions as needed.
- Provide monthly progress reports to Project Coordinator and participate in regular team meetings in person and remotely.
- Develop 1 case studies per quarter
- Ensure compliance with CF policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree/Diploma Social Sciences
- 3 years’ proven experience in project implementation
- Understanding of PNG’s development context, activities and actors.
- Proven experience in facilitating training
- Understanding of quantitative and qualitative methods of monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience working in Highlands region of PNG
DESIRABLE
- Experience in working with NGOs in cross-cultural setting.
- Develop policies and guidelines.
- Understanding of Gender-based Violence and Child Protection Systems in PNG
