WWF-HK is looking for a Project Officer in our Education team, reporting to Senior Manager, School Education Programme, to support the delivery of various education initiatives targeting school and other sectors in the community.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and coordination support for school related projects, especially the Hong Kong Award for Environmental Excellence on school sector
- Guide a wide variety of education programmes at WWF nature centres targeting different sectors in the community.
- Partner with school sector to develop and implement Environmental STEAM, Life-wide Learning, as well as Moral and Civic Education programmes that are related to nature conservation and sustainability.
- Implement youth engagement, empowerment and mobilization programmes.
- Develop and manage existing education materials for all WWF nature centres.
- Contribute to the development and production of WWF educational publications and online materials.
- Support Centres in delivering educational related programmes to promote public education and awareness of sustainable living.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Environmental Science, Biology, Geography, Tourism, Social Science or any discipline related to nature conservation.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience, e.g. teaching at primary/secondary school, organizing and leading outdoor activities, experience related to nature interpretation or community engagement projects planning and implementation.
- Possessing postgraduate certificate related to education would be of added benefit.
- Fluent in Cantonese and English (preferably Putonghua as well).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and online meeting platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet.
- Passionate and interested to guide outdoor learning programmes
- Nature interpretation, first aid, cycling, swimming or lifesaving skills would be of added benefit.
- Required to work during weekends and public holidays.
