Project Manager, Site Construction

Job Summary:

Reporting to Chief Technology Officer, the Project Manager, Site Construction will be responsible for all aspects of the construction and delivery of Li-Cycle’s Spokes, including project management, quality assurance/quality control, supply chain management, and management of external contractors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Working with our Engineering and Construction Management team, you will support:
  • Management of spoke construction and external contractors for the purpose of building Li-Cycle’s Commercial Facilities
  • Oversee the work performance of external service providers ensuring the work completed meets company standards
  • Review of technical documentation (drawings and specifications) to ensure that QA/QC checks are performed on fabricated components and documented in adherence to set policies
  • Selection of site-level construction contractors through an RFP process
  • Oversight of construction activities including budget, productivity, progress, and safety of employees and subcontractors
  • Manage the inventory of materials to always ensure adequate stock levels
  • Attend construction site meetings and conduct site visits, as needed

Requirements:

• University degree or diploma in a technical field
• 5+ years previous experience in a manufacturing environment with proven leadership abilities.
• Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
• Ability to converse and collaborate with multiple departments spanning multiple disciplines
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Ability to independently manage multiple activities at different locations and organize work to meet deadlines
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
• Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
• German language at minimum B2 level
