What is the opportunity?
The Project Manager, Resourcing, is responsible for managing all resourcing work within the Engineering & Innovation Department, with a primary focus on the UNICEF Solar Hub initiatives. This position will be responsible for ensuring adherence to a project scope, schedule, and budget agreed upon with the project’s partner organization. Thus, attention to detail, clear communication (verbal and written), the ability to delegate work to others, and overseeing that work is accomplished will be the key skills needed for this position. This position may travel globally, with a duration of one to three weeks per trip, unless agreed otherwise. This full-time position is based in North Charleston, SC and will report to the Director, Engineering Design and Support.
A successful Project Manager, Resourcing will:

Manage the provision of engineering resourcing services to partner organizations.
Develop and manage project scope, schedule, and budgets.
Ability to report on project budget within formats provided by Water Mission and partner organizations.
Ensuring that the engineering support given is done so in accordance with approved Water Mission engineering and construction standards.
Manage multiple simultaneous projects and initiatives.
Maintain good communication with department leadership.
Maintain good communication and relationships with partnership managers.
Maintain good communications with partner organizations.
Manage competing priorities and concurrent deadlines.
Ability to create engineering designs, calculations, construction drawings, and specifications, as well as delegate these tasks to others.
Ability to cross engineering disciplines and gain a base level of understanding as necessary.
Ability to work within cross-cultural environments and overcome stereotypes and language barriers.
Prepare and give presentations to partner organizations and Water Mission’s Programs leaders.
Track and measure the effectiveness of engineering support rendered.
What is Required?
Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Alignment with Water Mission’s statement of faith and core values of love, excellence, and integrity.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Electrical (Mechanical and other Engineering degrees considered).
Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
5-10 years of engineering experience preferred, with some amount of experience in project management.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent relationship and cross-cultural skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Ability to travel internationally. Most international trips require this person to ride in long car rides on rough terrain and stand for extended periods in hot weather.
Commitment to the values and mission of Water Mission and ending the global water crisis.
Legal authorization to work in one of Water Mission’s Latin American country programs.
Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities.
Need to be a self-starter who demonstrates initiative.
Experience in developing countries (preferred, not required).
Foreign language skills (beneficial, not required).
