Growcer is an innovative agri-tech startup launched in Ottawa in 2015, specializing in the manufacturing and design of modular hydroponic systems that enable commercial food production in plug-and-play 40 ft. modules. Its vertical farming technology enables customers to grow fresh vegetables in virtually any climate, having been deployed within the Arctic Circle below -50°C. Growcer has empowered conventional farmers, entrepreneurs, communities and institutions to grow food locally all year round. About the Role
As the Project Manager of Installations & Retrofits you will play a crucial role in strategically preparing for and executing on the launch and upgrades of our upcoming and current farms. You will be part of the Customer Success team and will work closely with our customers as well as the Sales, Product/Engineering and R&D teams. Your focus will range from cross-functional farm deployment and launch projects including scope definition, driving company-wide decision making, managing timelines and other critical tasks in partnership with teams across the organization.
This is a high visibility role that offers key leadership opportunities with the Customer Success team and within Growcer. The role is based in Ottawa, however there is the possibility for working remotely.
Responsibilities
Required Skills & Competencies
Education Requirements: University or College Degree or equivalent
Experience Requirements: 5-7 years in construction project management or similar
Travel Requirements: 10-20% travel to various sites to support installation work
Physical Requirements: Ability to travel, including to remote communities; Physically able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
English/French Bilingual: English, Bilingual an asset
Driver’s License Required: Yes

Hands on experience in construction, HVAC, food safety and/or farming.
PMP designation or similar
