All Hands and Hearts is a disaster relief nonprofit. Our program bases are located in the communities we serve, and staff members live in communal environments. Understand your responsibility for the safety of yourself and for those around you. Vaccination is required in all in-person work environments including program bases, offices, and team meetings. Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides relief to survivors of natural disasters. The position full-time is responsible for developing and overseeing the response/ recovery projects to help impacted communities. Specific project responsibilities are coupled with management opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Roles reporting to position Construction Site Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Site Supervisor Trainee, Logistics Coordinator

Essential Functions
Develop the project scope-of-work, milestones, and detailed timeline and budget and track these accurately, updating the necessary tracking systems e.g. Salesforce, MS Project.
In cooperation with the Program Director, oversee implementing the project whilst adhering to approved timeline and budget constraints.
Establish and develop clear work and safety practices for the project and communicate these with site teams (Construction Site Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Site Supervisor Trainees, Masons and Team Leaders).
Supports the Program Director in the development, implementation, and review of the Health, Safety and Security procedures for base and sites.
Recruit and train project team members to ensure compliance with project standards in safety and work quality.
When applicable, establish assessment criteria and manage and support the project team to carry out assessments and beneficiary selection processes to identify and implement additional projects.
Continuously develop and evaluate the project scope, quality and impact, through a meaningful monitoring and evaluation framework.
Provide supportive leadership, manage a diverse staff team, volunteers and local staff and empower them to carry out their work effectively and efficiently.
Manage and support Logistics Coordinator to implement efficient procurement processes for the project sites. Design and oversee the process of hiring and vetting subcontractors and construction suppliers.
Compile weekly and fortnightly progress reports for the Program Director.
Support the Program Director in compiling program specific fortnightly reports for the organization.
Oversee and lead the training of the Site Supervisors, Site Supervisor Trainees and the Mason Training Program.
Support the Community Coordinator in the development and implementation of renewal projects.
We understand vaccination is the best way to protect our beneficiaries, community members, staff and volunteers, therefore we require all of our on program staff members to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To be considered for this position you must be fully vaccinated. Subject to applicable guidance, the term fully vaccinated currently refers to when an individual has received either a single-shot vaccine or both doses of a two-shot vaccine, and two weeks have elapsed since the final dose.

Financial Responsibilities
Position Requirements
Education Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Civil or structural engineering degree preferred.
Special Competencies/Certifications Must be able to secure and maintain appropriate visas. Spanish speaker preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel and AutoCAD. Knowledge of MS Project is an advantage. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems. Needs a developed and clear management style.
Related Experience Must have project management, as well as management experience in a professional setting. Must have technical experience working in construction. All Hands and Hearts experience preferable, but not required. Previous international travel in developing countries preferred.
