SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) is seeking an experienced professional Project Hydrogeologist to provide technical support to our growing mining business line, working directly with SWCA’s Mining Team. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting expansion of high growth/high value water resource opportunities within the industrial/critical minerals and other mining markets. The ideal candidate will support SWCA’s Mining Team, especially the East and Midwest teams and will provide input and guidance throughout the company to provide a true value-add impact on the organization’s culture.
This is a regular, full time, salaried, with benefits position that will be tied to our Raleigh, NC office. The person for this job can be based near any of our offices in the southeastern U.S. or be fully remote with travel up to 25% of the time. It would be preferable if the candidate was located in the Southeastern U.S., but this is not required. This position will report directly to our Principal Project Manager – Mining.

Demonstrated experience with the following:
Hydrogeologic studies and groundwater investigations
Groundwater modeling, including remediation/fate transport/plume modeling
Groundwater and surface water support for surface and underground mining permitting
Conduct Aquifer Performance Testing (APT) and data evaluation
Well design and installation
Process water management/water balance modeling
Pit Dewatering
Provide technical support for hydrogeology and water resource projects for mining clients related to permitting, exploration, project development, operations and site closure.
Assist with developing, expanding, and capturing key, high growth/high value mining opportunity and sales.
Ability to supplement current services offered with working understanding of hydrogeology, geochemistry, stormwater and surface water.
Coordinate with the Mining Team for market expansion and support across the US.
Provide technical and planning support and guidance to SWCA staff through the U.S.
Expand presentation and speaking opportunities at industry events and maintain active memberships in key organizations, local chapter involvements and publication submissions.
Manage hydrogeologic/water resource projects and contribute to resource reports/deliverables as well as provide QA/QC of key water resource project deliverables.

An employee in this Raleigh, NC - based position can expect a salary of $70,720.00/yr.- $90,480.00/yr. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law.
