This may include single- and three-line drawings, equipment location drawings, conduit plans, conduit fill requirements, plan drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams of project as well as vendor submittal drawings, process flow diagrams, P&ID drawings, plan layout drawings, and piping system drawings.
Understand and execute principles of engineering and power plant design concepts and processes.
· Work independently and as part of a team to evaluate, select, and adapt engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to evolving and diverse project requirements.
· Perform engineering calculations and/or studies for power systems, depending on discipline/experience (mechanical or electrical) this may include (electrical) load flow, voltage drop, motor starting, short circuit, and arc flash calculations, and protective relay coordination or (mechanical) thermodynamic, airflow, vibration, acoustic, and fluid dynamic calculations. Coordination with team members for multidiscipline engineering is expected.
· Remain informed of industry developments, applicable codes, standards, accepted engineering practices affecting the services to be performed. Ensure compliance with company, industry, regulatory and testing safety standards, and protocols.
· Assist customers, engineers, and contractors with integration of equipment, components, and controls through stages of project development, installation, field start-up, training, and on-going customer support.
