The project coordinator will be responsible for the effective delivery of animal health and production technologies, knowledge, and skills to project participants. S/he will promote climate-smart livestock farming measures for improving and transforming existing goat and dairy farming practices. S/he will work in close collaboration and coordination with the Heifer Nepal Program team, local government, farmers’ groups, and Village Animal Health Workers.

RESPONSIBILIIES AND DELIVERABLES**: (**including approximate percentage effort)
Strengthened capacity of goat and dairy farmers and associated value chain actors on climate-smart livestock farming measures (30%)
Establish demonstration sites of climate-smart livestock farming (30 %)
Increased access of farmers to input and services to adopt climate-smart farming practices at farm level (20%)
Supported in creating enabling environment for adoption and upscaling of climate-smart farming measures (15%)
Perform other job-related duties as requested (5%)
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Ability to prepare and present documents in a well-designed and attractive format with superior attention to detail
Good team player with the ability to train and work cooperatively with a diverse staff, including field staff in several locations
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Willingness to work with a flexible schedule
Willingness to extensively travel to rural areas
Able to effectively promote Heifer’s mission values, and objectives
Sensitivity in working with multiple cultures and beliefs, and to gender equity
