Programs Manager – Delivery Team

Common Purpose is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1989 that develops leaders who can cross boundaries. This enables them to solve complex problems both in organisations and in cities. We deliver in-person and online leadership programs for multiple generations of leaders, from students in universities to senior leaders in organisations and society, supporting them to develop the knowledge, skills and inspiration to cross boundaries and become more active and engaged citizens.
As a member of our Delivery Team, you will be assigned different Projects on which to work as part of a team led by a Projects Leader. You will be delivering programs across different generations, sectors and geographies. One day you might be working with a group of international students, the next with senior private sector leaders, the next a set of emerging leaders from local government. This is why we are looking for someone who is comfortable engaging with leaders from different backgrounds and levels of seniority, and able to work on multiple projects at the same time. The role is full of variety and perfect for anyone looking to broaden their exposure to different markets and audiences.
This full time permanent role is remote and to be eligible you must be based in Melbourne, Victoria.
As our Programs Manager you will
Be part of a team supporting the creation and delivery of a range of programmes to the highest possible quality, ensuring all deadlines are met
Work with colleagues to find, secure and brief a diverse range of leaders to speak as part of our curriculum
Facilitate programmes, both online and (when restrictions allow) in-person, to deliver maximum impact
Engage directly with clients where required, both internal and external, providing progress updates
Liaise with and provide support to programme participants before, during and beyond the programme where required
Support with setting up our programmes through preparation of any materials, online spaces etc
Collaborate with Common Purpose colleagues globally (across different time zones, locations and teams), using systems and networks appropriately, efficiently and transparently
You will bring this experience with you:
Excellent project management skills (ideally in similar industries eg leadership, education, teaching)
Experience of facilitation, training delivery and/or public speaking (minimum 2 years)
Experience of managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple tasks under pressure, in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Experience of building and maintaining strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internally and externally,
A collaborative team-player with a positive attitude, also able to work well independently
Excellent written English, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
Able and willing to travel for short periods of time (when restrictions allow) and at short notice and outside of normal working hours
Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office
What we offer in return:
A salary of between AUD $78,000 -$82,000 per annum dependent on experience
25 days of annual leave per annum + Christmas shutdown (25/12-1/1)
