Our digital platform delivers scalable and verifiable sexual reproductive health services for young people in 6 main markets in Sub Saharan Africa - Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, South Africa, Burkina Faso, and Zambia. We work together with local communities and use nudges like reminders, discounts, and reward points to encourage our users to access and use sexual and reproductive health services. The Job

As the Programme Director, you will guide and support the programme leads, ensuring the successful implementation of donor-funded projects across the organization. Your role will be crucial in guaranteeing that projects meet their objectives, comply with donor requirements, and maintain optimal communication and reporting standards.

Responsibility areas:

  • Guiding and supporting programme leads to ensure operational execution of projects aligns with donor requirements and meets goals and objectives on time and in full.
  • Overseeing the monitoring of grants to ensure compliance with donor regulations and that all relevant documentation is in place and periodically reviewed.
  • Leading proposal development/writing efforts as needed.
  • Navigating complex political environments and driving meaningful change across projects.
  • Maintaining and strengthening relationships with donors and partners involved in various projects.
  • Identifying compliance risks across the portfolio and advising/supporting programme leads and others in the organization when actions need to be taken.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality reports that meet donor requirements.
  • Overseeing the training of stakeholders in the particulars of the projects.
  • Utilizing your excellent project management skills to drive overall project success and achieve meaningful results.

About You

You're a confident and dynamic leader with excellent interpersonal skills. You excel at collaborating with others and bringing people together to achieve common goals. You are detail-oriented, organized, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Essential skills:

  • +10 years of Programme Lead/Programme Manager or relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong government experience, diplomatic, and able to navigate complex political environments.
  • Proven experience in maintaining positive relationships with donors and partners across various projects.
  • Extensive experience working with global funds and a strong understanding of the landscape.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to efficiently respond to donor requests.
