C-Quest Capital LLC (CQC) is a clean energy project developer whose mission is to transform the lives of the rural poor in developing countries by providing them access to clean and sustainable energy services, clean energy technologies, and improving health and well-being of women and children. CQC was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Washington D.C., U.S.A. with subsidiaries in India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia, with on the ground teams in Malawi, Zambia, and rapidly growing into other Sub-Saharan Africa countries. Our projects are closely managed by the CQC Operations Team and by establishing relationships with people and organizations based in-country called Implementing Partners (IPs), whose development goals closely align with the work we are doing at scale and are already working at the village level.
Background:
CQC is rapidly expanding their impact to provide cleaner cooking services across core geographies and there is a need to expand reliable, skilled, supervisory staff to assist where we already have active stove programs including Cote d’Ivoire. IPs build improved cook stoves made from local materials and hold training on how to build these stoves and educate the rural poor which provides them access to clean cooking technology and builds capacity. Afterwards IPs are required to return to the households where the stoves have been built to register them on a phone survey and upload them to an online database. There is a temporary need for a third-party spot auditor to randomly check on approved stoves built by the IP to ensure quality, receive feedback from users and to be compliant with standards.
Core Tasks:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Cote d’Ivoire Country Manager and US-based, Operations Team, Program Support Officers are required to collaborate directly with the managing Implementation Partner and CQC Direct in-country teams to conduct oversight and support of improved cook stoves projects in the given areas.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Spot Audit: Questionnaires to be completed and logged for each of the sampled households. All findings are to be organized in a report and provided to CQC.
