The Program Officer/Sr. Program Officer will grow the energy program by working in collaboration with Pact staff globally to develop project proposals, engage with existing and potential donors, and produce written materials for both internal and external audiences.
The Program Officer/Sr. Program Officer will also play a significant role in directly contributing to the success of energy-related projects by delivering short term technical assistance and providing subject matter expertise and support to country offices.
The Program Officer/Sr. Program Officer will support the operation of the energy program, ensuring excellent cross-organizational coordination, and contribute to the development of thought leadership.
Develop concepts for new initiatives through market research and analysis and external outreach.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential donors and partners with a high degree of independence, leading to solicitation of proposals and partnership opportunities.
Work in collaboration with other staff to develop and maintain donor relationships on an international level
Coordinate with the business development team in Washington, D.C. and in various country offices to identify, evaluate and pursue funding opportunities that would be a good fit for Pact’s capabilities and experience within the energy sector.
Provide technical leadership and managerial support for all energy-related funding opportunities by productively partnering with other Pact departments, ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals in compliance with all internal processes and policies.
Support country offices with start-up and continuing implementation of energy-related projects globally, including the addition of energy access components to existing Pact projects
Collaborate with the communications team and country offices to produce timely research and thought leadership, demonstrating the outcomes of Pact’s work in the energy sector, and our ideas for further improving access to energy and productive use of energy, as part of an integrated approach to development.
Coordinate with the communications team and country offices to produce digital and printed materials for external audiences including qualifications documents and website content, and to host in person and virtual events.
Support annual planning and budgeting as well as long-term strategy development, and field requests for inter-departmental coordination.
Contribute to other proposals and ongoing project across the organization, particularly within the Sustainable Markets Group.
