Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief. The position is full-time and is responsible for the overall management and strategic development of the program to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the projects.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for the program as a whole
- Ensure the overall budget and timeline compliance of the program
- Recruit and manage an effective staff team to meet the specific needs of the communities affected by the disaster, in communication with the International Recovery/Response Manager and Director of International Response/Recovery
- Support the operations and project teams to deliver their specific operational and project targets within the approved time and budget constraints
- Manage a diverse staff team, volunteers and local staff and empower them to carry out their work effectively and efficiently
- Oversee the delivery of weekly and fortnightly reporting for all aspects of the program
- Continuously develop the strategic direction and scope of the program, in liaison with the International Recovery/Response Manager
- With the support of the International Recovery Manager, Project Manager and Operations Manager, develop, implement, and review the program’s Emergency and Evacuation Procedures, and Health, Safety, and Security protocol
- Attend Cluster and Working Group Meetings where appropriate and communicate any pertinent information to the International Recovery Manager
- Support training and skills development for staff and volunteers. Provide ongoing support to Project Manager in the implementation of Site Supervisor (Trainee) training matrix
- Oversee and support the Community Coordinator in developing the scope of community engagement and renewal projects
- Responsible for developing an overall budget for the program, including financial forecasting
- Reconciling operational and project budgets to meet approved overall program budgets
- We have decided to relax the requirement for Covid-19 vaccination for on program staff. While we still strongly recommend Covid-19 vaccination, along with other standard and travel immunizations as recommended by the CDC and WHO, Covid-19 vacation will no longer be required.

Position Requirements
- Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Related Experience: 2+ years experience working in a disaster response context, preferably with All Hands and Hearts. One year of experience in a role with project management responsibilities, including budget tracking and reporting. 2+ years of management experience.
- Special Competencies/Certifications Must be able to secure and maintain appropriate visas. Excellent written and oral communication skills and confidence working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets; and Microsoft Office. The applicant needs to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. Outstanding leadership and delegation skills. Able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment. Must have a sophisticated and developed management style. The familiarity of international humanitarian standards including Sphere and HAP.

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Typical starting salary is $2,050-$2,425 USD/, and up to $2.800 for highly qualified candidates who have previous experience in this role.
