About Rare
Rare inspires change so people and nature thrive. For over 45 years, across 60 countries, we have been a global leader in driving social change for people and nature. We believe that the cumulative power of individual and community action is a vital pathway to safeguarding and restoring our shared waters, lands, and climate.
About Climate Culture & Boston SHINE
Climate Culture is Rare’s U.S. climate program. It harnesses our expertise in using the science of human behavior to empower tens of millions of Americans to act against climate change. Collectively, individual actions can reduce emissions significantly while strengthening the constituency demanding climate-positive policies.
Boston SHINE (Solar Helping Ignite Neighborhood Economies) is a new Climate Culture initiative to make climate action central to antipoverty action in historically marginalized communities of Boston.
About the Job
The Program Associate (PA) will play an important role in helping to drive the Boston SHINE initiative forward. As the PA, you will be the primary coordinator for the multi-partner, multi-grantor project. You’ll manage project tracking and map the team’s delivery of long-term objectives. You will track grant budgets, lead team coordination, and communicate with internal and external collaborators. You’ll also help to build and maintain relationships with community partners to deliver programs that increase the adoption of Climate Culture behaviors, particularly with groups that have had less access to these behaviors due to systemic inequities and exclusion.
