We are seeking a Product Manager II to join our Data Platform team. In this role, you’ll work closely with  data science and business analytics pods to define priorities, launch impactful features, create standardization and ensure our internal platform solutions integrate seamlessly across Uplight’s product ecosystem—building the foundation that helps accelerate the clean energy transition.

What you’ll do:

• Own and evolve the roadmap for two of our core data platform teams.
• Collaborate closely with data science and business analytics  leads to design and deliver solutions that utilize Uplight’s wealth of data to create meaningful insights and drive customer value
• Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders, to develop a program strategy and outline goals that align with the organization’s overall vision, translate it into clear product requirements, work to deliver against this strategy, and drive adoption across teams.
• Collaborate with other Data Platform product managers to ensure data quality and robust pipelining requirements are met to support data science and analytics initiatives
• Measure and communicate the impact of platform investments with metrics such as reliability, performance, and developer satisfaction.
• Ensure platform components integrate cohesively with the rest of Uplight’s products and services.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Establish and maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, team members, and senior leadership.
• Oversee the effective allocation of resources across multiple projects within the program to maximize productivity and ensure project success.

What you bring to Uplight:

• 3+ years of product management experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term vision.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
• A collaborative, adaptable mindset; you’re comfortable leading, motivating, and managing cross-functional teams, and directing the work of multiple engineering pods while rolling up your sleeves.
• Passionate about moving our mission forward and living our core values.

Bonus Points:

• An online slidedeck showcasing a product/feature of which you are particularly proud and the process used to launch it.
• Utility or energy industry experience.
• Comfort with technical concepts (data cleaning/interpolation, modeling solutions, evaluation metrics, pipelines), strong data competency, and curiosity to dive deeper where needed.
• Experience with data platforms, machine learning, Databricks or other similar technologies.

Salary Range: $112,000 to $140,000 USD

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
