Product Analyst

Ambri, an energy startup commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a Product Analyst that will provide expertise in product planning for new product introductions of Ambri’s DC system product.

Position Overview

As a key member of our Program Management team, the ideal candidate thrives as a collaborative team player and excels when working cross functionally. Will be a critical thinker responsible for analyzing product changes through the scaling of our energy storage products. The successful candidate will perform market research, evaluate products, forecast performance, and offer product guidance through Ambri’s New Product Introduction Process, by generating reports and presentations on results and findings.

Responsibilities:

• Understand company product(s) to meet the company’s current and future needs
• Develop cost analysis and targets, track progress and update stakeholders on product status and project execution
• Create pareto analysis to prioritize project(s) cost, timing, manufacturing, and supply chain related issues
• Support the development of systematic and integrated tools to drive program development efforts
• Work with Supply Chain to help drive cost structure and process for optimization
• Develop an overall cost model that will be utilized for future cost planning and Sales cost/ profit model projections

Requirements:

• BS degree in business, data science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years’ product project experience in batteries or in a role with transferrable skills, and with at least 3 years’ experience working hands on in new product implementation
• Entrepreneurial drive with demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment
• Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving with a vision for how product and process creation can accelerate the development process
• Ability to thrive within a matrix organization with a flexible and “can-do” attitude
• Excellent communication skill including written, verbal and listening
• Proven time management skills
• Demonstrated success as a collaborative team member working across several cross functional disciplines
• Above average experience with MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
• Experience with manufacturing launch of new products desired
• Knowledge of, or experience with, AC or DC distribution and equipment or battery energy storage systems (BESS) a plus
