Holcim announced in September 2020 the Net Zero Pledge, i.e. meet the 1.5DC target in alignment with SBTi. Avoiding, reducing and capturing CO2 are the key pillars of this journey.  Hence avoiding/capturing CO2  is an important leg of this journey. Amongst these, clinker factor reduction is a powerful means of reducing the baseline CO2 footprint. We have to further develop various technologies with the objective of having 2030 economically viable solutions at industrial scale and securing mineral components. In order to develop and manage disruptive technologies and give best support to the countries in integrating new technologies in the cement manufacturing environment, technical activities need to be coordinated amongst various players.

• Developing and scouting new sources for producing synthetic mineral components
• Integrating the new mineral components in the development of new innovative products
• Designing processes and Implementing tests, prototypes and pilot plants
• Coordination of various stakeholders and partners at global level in the field of process innovation projects, internal as well as external (academia, suppliers, standardization workgroups and organizations etc) while also ensuring interface to upstream and downstream processes
• Developing future knowledge for the Holcim group
• Coaching and empowering project teams in the countries and regions in order to drive process innovation within their projects or studies.
• Represent the Process Innovation team in different Holcim projects, in meetings and/or conferences, share, spread out knowledge and best practices

Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Science, preferably in Chemical Process Engineering or equivalent technical masters degree
• Additional business certificate is a plus

Experience

• Technical leadership in synthesis of mineral products, understanding mineralogical clinker phases as well as cement properties is an asset
• Experience working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environments
• Experience in an innovation environment is an asset

Language Requirements

Fluency in English (oral and written). Any other language is a plus.
