Job Purpose
The Singapore Investments Team is seeking an enthusiastic Portfolio Manager based in Singapore and report to the Regional Portfolio Manager, Asia. The core focus of this role will be on Asia within Renewable Energy, Water Infrastructure and Green Hydrogen. Travel will at times be required to countries within the CFM portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Liquidity Management

- Work closely with investment leads and structuring team to report on funding requirements and allocation.
- Financial Reporting and systematic enablement:
-
- Report on the financial performance of assets for CFM and investors
- Provide analysis and data point to support the Regional Portfolio Manager with optimal hedging strategy, including FX, interest rate and inflation exposures.
- Analysis of current and future hedging needs
- Ensure best practice is implemented in terms of accounting, financial management and financial reporting including the company secretarial mandate for all assets
- Act as single point of contact between Investor Relations and Portfolio Management to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
- As Asia representative, co-ordinate with Finance and Fund Administration to manage drawdowns and distributions.
- Asset Cashflow:

- Provide analytical and financial modelling support for the management of asset cashflow requirements including construction drawdowns, debt service, supplier invoices and shareholder distributions
- Stakeholder Relationship Engagement:

- Develop strong working relationships with the investment companies and other stakeholders within CFM.
- Structuring and Valuation Support:
-
- Portfolio valuation support to the Regional Portfolio Manager and the Valuations Head.
- Collaborate with external valuers to address queries and provide necessary information.
- Database Knowledge Management:
-
- Act as the knowledge manager for the database, overseeing data related to FX rates, interest rates, and other relevant financial information.
- Liaise with investment companies to ensure timely reporting of financial and technical information to CFM.
- Portfolio Team Support:

- Collaborate with portfolio teams, offering support and insights across the deal process.
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination between various teams involved in the asset management process.
- Governance

- Industry analysis and sector research.
- Knowledge owner for the transaction database, including relevant due diligence and project content.
- Process support for compliance, governance, and internal approvals, including but not limited to KYC, anti-money laundering checks and project reporting.
- Assist in cross-border transaction structuring, including taxation matters.
- Support transaction and portfolio teams across the asset life cycle
- Investment and Asset Management Support:

- Engage and support the Regional Portfolio Manager involved during the ownership, and divestment of assets.
- Coordination of board meetings
- Decision-Making Support:

- Prepare and review memos and presentations for decision-makers, providing insights into Fund liquidity and recommending appropriate actions.
Qualifications and Experience

- Financial degree or equivalent
- Prior Project Finance and Financial Management experience, advantageous
- Minimum7-8years’ experience within Private Equity (financial management, governance, project finance) with previous experience in the Renewable Energy (preferred), Water sector or Green Hydrogen
- Proven ability to work across technical/financial and legal aspects of a transaction and work with various specialists internally to provide transaction analysis and recommendations
- Strong financial modelling skills and attention to detail
- Financial acumen – the capacity to demonstrate knowledge of and insight into financial principles and processes and identify inconsistencies in data
- Ability to apply sound business judgment and an analytical, pragmatic, and creative approach to problem solving
- Ability to plan and prioritize effectively: strong project / process management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Technically proficient (Advanced) in Excel, Word, PowerPoint essential.
- Experience with working in Asia or other emerging markets is a plus.
