DNV Maritime Japan provides Classification services such as Plan Approval, Newbuilding and Fleet in Service surveys, as well as Certification of Materials and Components.
Approval Centre Japan, located in Kobe City is seeking a Hull Plan Approval expert to be engaged primarily with the Japanese shipbuilding industry:
The candidate will also be responsible for enhancing and strengthening the DNV Maritime position in Japanese shipbuilding industries.
It should be noted that there will also be opportunities for the candidate to experience and gain in-depth knowledge of structural strength and design through DNV’s global network of hull structure experts and also through actual newbuilding projects at shipbuilders.
The successful candidate will be provided with internal training and qualification schemes.
Approval Centre Japan is ideally looking for a person with a Bachelor's degree in naval architecture, and actual experiences of hull plan approval in other classification societies, or structural design in design department at shipbuilders.
