The Philanthropy Associate -- To enable us to expand our impact, we have strategic and ambitious plans to grow support for Ecojustice and our partners. The Philanthropy Associate is responsible for supporting designated fundraising programs and securing revenue that will sustain Ecojustice’s efforts as we work to create a future where a thriving environment is protected by well-enforced laws. They have a passion for fundraising and provide administrative and operational support to our growing philanthropic strategies that seek to deepen and engage highly committed donors through high-touchpoint strategies.
About The Role
This role is predominantly based on providing administrative support for the acquisition and retention of Ecojustice's valued donors. Other areas include database administration and reporting as well as general administrative support. This role requires high-level attention to detail and an enjoyment of working on complex assignments that will support our growing and dynamic team.

Typically, we find that people who succeed in this role bring:
At least 1 year of related experience including fundraising or non-profit administration
A keen and ambitious support acumen - you love supporting your team to drive success!
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Experience entering data and using databases (i.e. Raiser's Edge) to evaluate programs
Demonstrated proficiency with research methodologies
Attention to detail, systems oriented, and diligent in creating and maintaining files
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle complex problems in the workplace using analytical problem solving techniques, creative thinking, and collaboration including asking for assistance as needed
Excellent time management with the ability to manage a diverse workload
Background in environmental issues or stewardship, social justice, or human health considered an asset
