About the Job**

We are currently seeking a full-time Payroll/HR Administrator to join our growing HR team. The successful candidate will be a detailed-oriented, customer-focused individual with current and in-depth working knowledge of payroll functions, who thrives in a fast-paced and often changing environment. A successful candidate will be someone who moves beyond the role and seeks to understand the big picture.

This role requires individual accountability and ownership of all Payroll functions, including timesheets. As the Payroll/HR Administrator it is your responsibility to understand and follow established payroll and timesheet procedures, be proactive in research of payroll related trends, specifically with changes in federal, state, and local payroll taxes, and assist with year-end tasks. This role is also responsible for employee onboarding and offboarding efforts, in addition to various HR related tasks in support of the function and department.

Integral supports a hybrid workplace model offering flexibility and support to employees. Business travel once or twice a year may be required.

Responsibilities

As a Payroll/HR Administrator, your job functions will include, but not be limited to:

Payroll:

  • Processes and maintains payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions

  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates

  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors

  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures

  • Review and weekly processing of employee timesheets and PTO usage

  • Answers questions from employees related to standard policies

Human Resources:

  • Creates and updates employee profiles and data in Deltek® VantagePoint and Paylocity
  • Processes weekly vacation and sick time accruals
  • Processes holiday time accruals and calculates exchange time and other year-end paid leave accruals
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments (including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications)
  • Assists with onboarding and offboarding efforts, including paperwork management
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department and Executive Team
  • Assists with maintenance of HR information on Sharepoint and Company intranet
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Answers questions from employees related to standard policies
  • Assists or coordinates HR and Company-sponsored employee events
  • Prepares a variety of HR reports
  • Performs backup duties for other HR positions as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications
**

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2 - 4 years of applicable experience at a professional services firm
  • Minimum 2 years of experience processing payroll for 100+ employee professional services firm
  • Comfortable within a fast-paced and often changing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with current MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Equally at ease working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Paylocity payroll software is a plus
  • Experience with Deltek® VantagePoint accounting software is a plus
  • Ability to travel as required
