Partnerships & Grants Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Partnerships & Grants Manager to bring to life Infoxchange’s mission of Technology for Social Justice.

The Partnerships & Grants Manager is responsible for Infoxchange’s strategic partnerships and income generating activities through government, corporate partnerships and philanthropic streams, working directly with the CEO and leadership team to advance our vision of technology for social justice.

With a strong emphasis on partnership development, this role is a key contributor to the delivery of our Collaborative Impact social objective – leveraging our products, data and expertise in cross-sector collaborations to improve outcomes for people experiencing disadvantage.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Partnerships & Grants Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Developing and managing assigned strategic corporate partnerships
  • Philanthropy and foundation-based fundraising
  • Managing an effective grants process for government, corporate partners and philanthropy

This is a full-time role, with part-time open for consideration.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Manage relationships and represent Infoxchange with key stakeholders, which may include government, philanthropy and our strategic partners across the corporate, academic and not-for-profit sectors. This includes supporting fundraising efforts with philanthropy and strategic partners in support of our social objectives.
  • Develop and oversee the execution of a comprehensive partnerships income generation strategy to create a diverse business development portfolio.
  • Proactively identify key trust and foundations and corporate partners to support the work.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with funders, supporters, networks and stakeholders, being able to present and pitch with key messaging and compelling impact.
  • Identify and lead grant funding opportunities, aligned with our strategic objectives and business plans through the entire lifecycle. This includes grant / proposal writing, presentations and responding to new partnership opportunities, through to governance of execution of activities, and the resulting acquittal commitments.
  • Engage in the design and development of the Infoxchange Digital Future Fund.
  • Achieve funding targets and reporting requirements to demonstrate results.
  • Manage budget and key risks relating to areas of responsibility.

Key selection criteria

To succeed in this role at Infoxchange, you will demonstrate:

  1. Proven experience at a mid to senior level in managing diverse range of partnerships leading to income generation and business development opportunities.
  2. Strategic focus with a hands-on approach to deliver priority focus areas.
  3. Ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, relate to and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds across the organisation, community, philanthropic, corporate, academic and government sectors.
  4. Passionate commitment to the not-for-profit sector including an understanding of effective communications as a driver in sector capacity development and alignment to the vision, mission, and values of Infoxchange.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing and presentation skills.
  6. Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate field are highly desirable.
