The Role
Every year, CLEAR Global and the TWB Community support over 100 NGOs and UN agencies with critical languages services. In 2022, we delivered 20 million words in over 400 language pairs.
We are looking for an analytical, creative and dynamic Partnership Development Senior Officer to develop partnerships and to develop, grow, and maintain partner relationships. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for ensuring that people all over the world get the information they need in a language and format they understand.
As a Partnership Development Senior Officer, you will be comfortable working remotely with colleagues and volunteers. You will also be a team player with a can-do attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Partnership Development Senior Officer is a part of the Language Services Team, reporting to the Chief Language Services Officer. The Partnership Development Senior Officer will primarily be responsible for scaling up CLEAR Global’s partnership program. Ideally, you will have experience developing partnerships with organizations, developing proposals, exceptional communication skills and an excellent understanding of language service and language technology best practices.
CLEAR Global’s partnership program is an earned income model, whereby we provide language services, language technology innovations and services to other non-profits through paid agreements. CLEAR Global currently works with over 100 partners from major aid organizations like the WHO and Save the Children to smaller community-based organizations. This person will provide effective leads generation, outreach, communications, on-boarding, sales performance monitoring, and income tracking. There will be a focus on generating and cultivating strategic leads with high-value global partners. The Senior Officer will lead the partnership development team, managing 2-3 team members and work closely with the Customer Success Coordinator and the Language Services team to achieve results.
Qualifications
The Partnership Development Senior Officer should be enthusiastic about the importance of increasing access to knowledge through language. The right candidate is an energetic team player and leader who agrees with CLEAR Global’s basic beliefs and values, who can work virtually with team members based throughout the world and deploy at short notice to field locations.
You will have demonstrable experience in selling services or partnership-based fundraising, ideally in a non-profit context with some understanding of how non-profits operate.

Requirements
3-5 years experience of fundraising, sales and/or communications, with a proven track record in developing an income stream (e.g. individual donors, or earned income) and securing significant business or donations.
2+ years experience as a team leader with the ability to manage a remote team
Demonstrated interest in language and commitment to CLEAR Global’s values.
Exceptional communication skills
Experience working with volunteers and small teams
Knowledge of language technology including CAT tools, MT, Terminology and QA Tools
Good knowledge of standard Microsoft Windows applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
Previous experience with nonprofit organizations, particularly in disaster relief
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; knowledge of French is desirable
University Degree in linguistic/translation related studies or humanities/international relations or relevant field
Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and database management.
Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
