Part-Time Conservation Field Technician 兼職野外保育助理

WWF-HK is looking for Part-Time Conservation Field Technician, who will be supporting wetlands habitat management in delivery of field technical support and infrastructure maintenance work at Mai Po Nature Reserve to ensure the conservation status and safe operations of wetlands habitat in Mai Po Nature Reserve.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Support habitat & vegetation management and infrastructure maintenance works for bird hide and wooden boardwalk etc.
• Assist in Gei Wai operation including water exchange, maintenance and demonstration for guided tours.
• Provide facility maintenance support to the Mai Po Peter Scott Visitor Centre and Education Centre.
• Drive the light good vehicle for purchasing and delivering materials.
• Drive the minibus to provide transportation services for designed guests and participants of training courses.
• Support the organisation events and activities held at Mai Po Nature Reserve or other Visitor Centres.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisors to support the diverse operational needs of the organization.
• Working days and hours: 2.5 days /week, total 20 hours.
• Occasionally require to perform Gei Wai water exchange duties in the early morning, evening or weekend.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Holder of vocational training certificate in construction / carpentry / horticulture / tree & habitat management or, possess practical work experience in related field.
• Minimum 1 years of relevant work experience in construction or horticulture.
• Holder of valid “Green Card”.
• Holder of Class 2 Hong Kong driving license, candidate with Class 4 Hong Kong driving license is preferred.
• Fluent in Cantonese and basic communication level in Putonghua.
• Strong sense of safety, able to operate and maintain equipment and tools safely.
• Sincere, respectful and willing to receive different opinions.
• Excellent collaboration, proactive and seek continuous improvement.
• Excellent communications and organising abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable.

世界自然基金會（香港分會）正在招聘野外保育助理，負責在米埔自然保護區進行濕地生境管理及基礎設施維修工作，確保米埔自然保護區的良好保育狀態及安全運作。

主要職責：

• 負責生境和植被管理及基礎設施，包括觀鳥屋，木棧道等的保養及維修工作。
• 負責基圍操作，包括換水、維修基圍及於導賞團中示範基圍操作。
• 為米埔斯科特訪客中心及教育中心提供設施維修支援。
• 駕駛輕型貨車進行採購及運送物資。
• 駕駛小巴接載指定訪客和培訓班參加者。
• 支援機構於米埔自然保護區或其它訪客中心舉辦的活動。
• 執行其他上司指派的工作，以支援機構各項運作需要。
• 工作時間：每週2.5天，共20小時。
• 間中需要於清晨、晚上或週末進行基圍換水工作。

要求及技能：

• 持有工程 / 木工 / 園藝 / 樹木及生境管理的職業培訓課程證書，或擁有相關實際工作經驗。
• 擁有至少1年工程或園藝的相關工作經驗。
• 持有有效「平安卡」。
• 持有香港2號駕駛執照，如有4 號駕駛執照者更佳。
• 流利粵語及基本普通話溝通能力。
• 高度注重工作安全，能安全地使用、操作和維護設備及工具。
• 誠懇有禮、專重別人，能接納團隊內不同意見。
• 良好的協作精神，積極主動並尋求持續改進。
• 良好的溝通和組織能力。
