Parent Liaison

We meet kids where they are — physically and emotionally — to help them focus on their education, make positive choices, and remain on the right path toward life success.

Founded in 1924, and still relevant today, Youth Guidance is a leading provider of outcomes-driven programs serving more than 11,000 youth and touching the lives of more than 14,000 youth, parents, teachers, and community members.

This position is locate at Aldridge Elementary School

Our Parent Liaison is responsible for:

Building and maintaining the parent program.

Our Parent Liaison provides Leadership and Professionalism by:

  • Working with existing parent leadership to create a plan for parent involvement at assigned schools
  • Recruiting parents through flyers, phone calls, in-person solicitation and home visits
  • Maintaining all parent program records
  • Helping to plan parent involvement activities
  • Advocating on the behalf of parents with the faculty and administration
  • Assisting in conflict resolution
  • Implementing and leading parent workshops
  • Arranging for parent training and in-services
  • Attending parent liaison and parent developer meetings
  • Attending all network-wide parent activities
  • Attending Parent Program meetings, and LSC meetings
  • Assisting with After School Programming (as needed)

Our Parent Liaison has been equipped for this impactful work in education and training with at least:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Some college credits from an accredited college/university or actively working towards a degree

  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse population of youth and families
  • Proven ability to succinctly communicate (verbal and written) at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives; including the demonstrated ability to make effective oral presentations, facilitate an open exchange of ideas, and write clear and concise notes, documents, and reports
