3Degrees partners with some of the largest utility providers across the US to expand participation in their renewable energy programs. Sales Representatives are the frontline within our Outreach organization and are focused on creating awareness and educating residential customers on green power options. Sales Representatives are responsible for efficiently driving enrollments while maintaining the highest level of customer experience and quality standards. In this role you’ll enjoy a collaborative, future-forward culture and annual on target earnings of $67,840.
This is a full-time remote position.
SCHEDULE
This is a 40 hour per week opportunity. We provide flexible working hours with the expectation that team members spend at least 30 hours per week outbound calling with the remaining 10 hours open to training, admin, team meetings, etc. Typical calling hours are 10:00AM - 7:00PM Monday - Friday.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Direct Sales:
- Professionally represent the utility brand to their customers
- Achieve and maintain qualitative and quantitative targets, including but not limited to enrollment goals and quality standards
- Increase awareness, education and participation in designated programs by enrolling customers through remote calling
Call Center & Customer Service Familiarity:
- Accurately present programs to customers by following approved scripted language while keeping up-to-date on new program information
- Comply with departmental protocols for safeguarding customer information and ensuring strict adherence to telemarketing/state requirements
Team Participation & Collaboration:
- Participate in weekly training meetings and regular meetings with Quality & Training
- Deliver requested enrollment information and details about each shift to the Sales Supervisor
- Empathize and communicate with a diverse group of customers and clients
ABOUT YOU
You are a confident, professional and driven self-starter with a passion for sales and mission-driven work. You are someone who can effectively work independently and enjoys being part of a team. You have a strong work ethic with a history of meeting and exceeding sales goals and you possess the following qualities, experience and technical capabilities:
- Prior sales or call center experience -At least 2-3-years working in sales
- Superb communication skills and influencing ability
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- Well-spoken and outgoing personality and comfortable developing customer rapport
- Demonstrated professional success in direct sales, preferably inside sales
- A home office with a calling environment that is free of background noises and ability to protect customer privacy
- Fluency in Google Apps and Five9 or autodialing system strongly preferred
- Interested in learning opportunities regarding utility renewable and energy efficiency programs, renewable energy and professional development
- Internet – Minimum Specifications: Ethernet connection - DSL, Cable, or Fiber required.

Within the first week (30-39 hours of training), successfully master program content with an ability to conduct independent calls with customers

Provide a high level of customer service in every interaction, resulting in zero customer complaints

Meet performance evaluations by consistently demonstrating a high level of program knowledge by effectively answering questions and addressing customer concerns while closely adhering to program script guidelines

Consistently meet or exceed enrollment rate as defined by program success metrics
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Compensation: The starting base pay for this position is $23/hour to $26/hour in the US. The total compensation package for the successful candidate in this role may exceed the base pay as it includes other incentive pay. The base pay is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
