FSC Asia Pacific is looking for an experienced Operations Officer, with a passion for FSC's mission, to join our dynamic Asia-Pacific team. In this role, you will bring your solid expertise to work with us in a multinational environment. This position will be responsible for managing a wide range of administrative and operational duties to support the operation and growth of the region. You will also play a crucial part in our procurement and financial processes, as well as liaise with our headquarters in Germany.

Main Roles & Responsibilities
Administrative and logistics
- Managing telephone and office reception
- Making arrangements for office business travels and accommodation
- Ordering and maintaining stock of office suppliers as needed
- Maintaining the asset list and coordinating the repair and maintenance of office equipment and facilities
- Managing suppliers and conducting annual reviews in line with office procurement policies
- Supporting events (in and out Hong Kong) as needed
- Responding to FSC Asia-Pacific’s general email enquiries and coordinating with relevant staff members for appropriate response
Procurement and Financials
- Preparing, verifying and recording daily finance and accounting activities, which includes invoices, payments, advance, reimbursement, expense records and supporting documents
- Coordinating with teams in the Asia-Pacific region to ensure procurement plan is updated and requests are submitted on-time
- Liaising with the Headquarters in Germany on a regular basis to ensure procruement requests and invoices are processed in a timely manner
- Ad-hoc assignments as agreed with Network Development Manager, Asia-Pacific.
Qualification, Experience and Skills
Education and Training:
- University degree, or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Marketing)
Working Experience, Style and Skills:
- 3 years or above administration or relevant experience.
- Detail-oriented, strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated and good team player.
- Ability to follow up with complex procedures in a multi-cultural environment.
- Collaborative working style and team player.
- Creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Service and solution-oriented attitude to work.
- Experience/Knowledge in forest-based industries would be an advantage.
Computer Skills:
- Standard software packages (MS Office), particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in PowerBI would be an advantage.
Language and Communication Skills:
- Fluency in English (Spoken and written).
- Fluency in other Asian languages is a plus.
- Active-listening skills.
